Happy 11 Months Claire!
At 11 months, Claire can...
...stand independently and bend over to pick things up.
...say "up" "mama" "papa" "dada" "this" "pup"
...points at everything and is very curious about it all.
...laughs hysterically if you nibble right below her arm pits.
...loves to blow kisses and play pat-a-cake.
...waves bye bye.
...is still a dancing fool.
...loves people and attention.
...pretty much eats what we eat now, minus a few minor things.
...wears size 3 diapers still.
...wears 9-12 month clothes. Still some 6-9 month.
...follows big sister wherever she goes.
...is working her sippy cup skills.
...made a MAD kitty cat for Halloween!
...gets into a lot of trouble...climbing, crawling, opening and closing.
...loves to give hugs.
...sleeps pretty good for the most part.
...has beautiful blond hair and blue eyes.
My sweet Baby Claire. I can't believe you are 11 months old. I wish I could keep you just the way you are forever!

Claire's 10 Month Update
Hmmm, I realized this morning when I was reading other blogs that I have completely skipped Claire's 10 month update. Probably cause it was on a Sunday. Anyway, Only over a week overdue but here it is anyway.
At 10 months Claire can:
...Pull herself to standing and stand independently
...Wave bye bye
...play pat-a-cake
...say "up", "momma" and "dadda"
...Crawl all the way to the top of the stairs
...had a little setback with sleeping but is still a pretty good sleeper
...Still follows her big sister around like a puppy.
...can walk along furniture or behind a push toy.
...Can eat just about anything now.
...Isn't real thrilled with taking a bottle anymore
...Crawls now with her belly off the ground and does this crazy side walk with her tongue out and panting like a dog.
...Dances whenever she hears music. And that girl has moves...Unless you have the video camera. Then she stares at you like you have 2 heads.
On a side note, I feel so incredibly bad that I have not taken good monthly photos of the baby like I did with Lily. It pains me so much because I swore I wouldn't do that. I haven't had pictures printed in a long time so now I'm not sure when the photos were taken. I only hope that one day soon I will have the time to sit down and upload photos and get them printed soon.

Nine Months already....
At Nine Months Claire can...
.....crawl like a madbaby.
....sit herself up.
....pull herself up to standing.
....walk along things (if she's holding on).
....eat a ton of different foods, bananas, oranges, crackers, green beans....
....is still moody.
...has 4 teeth, all the front ones.
...loves to dance. turn some music on and watch the girl dance.
...follows her big sister around like a puppy.
...sleeps all night.
....takes two naps a day.
...crawls up the stairs.
...no longer wears a helmet. (not that that is news really but it is from last month).
Miss Bear one week shy of her 9 month mark! Such a beautiful smile but man that girl is lucky she can grow her hair out! She has her daddy's big ears!
Sisters. And even though they LOOK like they are looking away from each other, this was there plan. To make my life hard when trying to take pictures of them!

PS. I wonder how long we'll be calling her baby Claire?

Claire's almost 5 month update
(((Sisters)))
Colored eggs. It is easter after all!
Miss Claire Helping mommy make dinner.
25.5 inches (90th percentile)
Head is about 10th percentile.
Miss Claire is practically perfect in every way. She is right on track with where she should be. Heck she barely even cried when they gave her shots. Which was nice.
Here is a long overdue update on Claire at 4.5 months old.
She....
....Smiles and giggles at us all the time. For the most part seems like a pretty happy baby.
....Can still be pretty fussy from time to time.
....Still loves to be cuddled...mostly by mommy.
....Is so infatuated with her big sister.
....Usually drinks about 6 ounces at a time now.
....Has been measured and casted for her helmet. She gets that put on on May 3rd.
.....Loves to be played with and tossed in the air.
....Still wakes up at least once a night to eat a bottle.
....Loves food. Pears. Apples. Carrots. Green beans. Peaches. Sweet potatoes. And of course Oatmeal. She eats a whole container of fruit or veg along with her oatmeal. Once a day.
....She's getting easier to take places now that she doesn't scream like you are murdering her in her car seat.
That's about all I can think of right now. I'm sure there's more that I'm just not thinking about right now so I'll update the list if I think of anything.

Claire's 4 month update....
Happy 4 months Miss Claire!
At four months Miss Claire....
...is constantly smiling. Such a happy girl and it's so easy to make her giggle.
...Loves to be cuddled and loved on.
...but is starting to get fearful of strangers.
...thinks her big sister is the best thing ever EVER.
...always wants to be sitting up right so she can see what's going on at all times.
...can roll over if she really puts her mind to it. (back to tummy)
...does not like to stay in the same place for long...she wiggles away and spins herself around.
...still has a pretty flat head on one side. She has PT appt this week so I'm hoping there will be some marked improvement.
...Loves apples, peaches, sweet potatoes. Not so much green beans but we'll keep trying.
...Still wakes up at least once a night to eat. I'm so used to it I think I'd freak out now if she slept past 3:30.
...definitely prefers mommy, though she's warming up to daddy quite nicely.
...still sleeps in a swaddle (which makes me wonder why they don't make swaddles that fit bigger babies anyway?)
...is becoming pretty fun as she learns new things each day.

...really isn't a big nuk baby. When she is super fussy during the day she likes it, otherwise not so much and she never takes it at night (and never has)
Regardless, we love you Claire and we can't imagine life without you now. Though a little more sleep would be wonderful!

3 Months?!
My 3 month old.....
.....thinks her hands are the single most interesting thing in the universe.
.....Adores her big sister
......has eaten oatmeal a few times....and liked it
......Still gets up at least once a night to eat
......smiles a lot and most of the times seems like a pretty happy baby.
......loves her mommy and being held by her mommy.
......has an incredibly flat head.
.......has had thrush three separate times.
........had her first official cold (thankfully it was pretty short lived)
.......loves to sit upright and has pretty good head control.
......weighs 10 pounds, 10 ounces which puts her at about 15th percentile....right about where Lily was at her age.
.....thinks it's pretty funny when you blow raspberries at her.
.....always always wants to be a part of the action

5 Week update.
Claire is 5 weeks old today.
Some highlights.
She SMILES. Real lovely, beautiful Smiles. And she means it.
She is slowly starting to sleep longer stretches now so that's a nice development. My goal is to get her to go 5 hours at night in a row and then move her into her room with Lily. I'm hoping this happens sooner rather than later.
Lily STILL adores her baby sister. No hint of jealousy. I'm really hoping that this keeps up. I'm liking it a lot.
Her thrush is completely gone. In fact I attribute that to her better mood overall lately.
She had a Dr. Appt on Monday and she is back up past her birth weight at 9 lbs 4 ounces. Of course the Dr. wasn't happy with the thrush progress so we got a new med for her, hence the reason it's finally gone.
We are starting to settle into our new routine at night with the girls. Lily likes us to read her a story with Claire in their room and I'm definitely liking that routine. It's a little more complicated with both girls but we'll work the kinks out as we go.
I honestly can't believe how different Lily and Claire are as babies. Even the way we do things with Claire is so different. We use different bottles....burp her differently....calm her differently. She sleeps in our room with us, which I never wanted but sometimes it's the best option. In fact there is a part of me that doesn't want to move her to the crib even because it's so much easier to grab her and feed her and stuff out of the bassinet and not have to get up. But I know it's gotta be done....for all of our sanity.
I think that's it.
We'll keep her I think.
